Kashmir Girl Cadets Shine; Brigadier Gurbir Singh Backs Their Inclusion in Republic Day Parade

Sopore: Brigadier Gurbir Singh, Group Commander of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Group Headquarters Srinagar, on Friday praised the discipline, talent, and dedication of young cadets during his visit to Sanctorum Public School, Sopore.

During his interaction with NCC cadets and while witnessing a series of vibrant cultural performances, Brigadier Singh described the students as “young buds ready to bloom” and emphasized the importance of nurturing their potential to build a stronger future for the nation.

He especially lauded the girl cadets and expressed his wish to see them represent Kashmir in the prestigious Republic Day Parade next year. He said that greater participation of girls from the Valley in the NCC contingent would mark a significant step toward empowerment and improved representation at the national level.

“It gives me immense satisfaction and honour to witness the impressive performances of this school,” Brigadier Singh said, while appreciating the well-coordinated band display and cultural group dance presented by the students.

Calling the visit a proud and encouraging moment, he praised the institution for instilling discipline, confidence, and cultural values among the youth. He also motivated cadets to dream big and strive for excellence at national and international platforms.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from NCC cadets of various institutions across Sopore, transforming the occasion into a vibrant celebration of talent, unity, discipline, and patriotism.
