TheNews21 is the flagship English platform of Kalpak Digital Media LLP, a registered MSME and MCA-certified media company headquartered in Maharashtra.

Our Work & Impact

TheNews21 is widely recognised for its investigative depth and editorial integrity.

In 2020, our detailed investigative series on China’s alleged violations of the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) during the Covid-19 outbreak sparked global attention. Based on our reporting, US attorney Larry Klayman and two other plaintiffs filed a USD 20 trillion civil lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, accusing China of violating UN biological weapons treaties and multiple US laws.
A counter lawsuit was later filed in China, highlighting the global ripple effect of our journalism.

Our investigations across Maharashtra — from MIDC land scams and infrastructure tender manipulation to governance failures, SRA reforms, and public spending — have shaped public discourse and influenced administrative action. We believe journalism must not only reveal the truth but also push systems toward transparency and fairness.
