Sreesanth Drops Bombshell Challenge to Harbhajan Singh: “Come Fight Me in the Boxing Ring If You Dare”

The long-standing tension between former India cricketers S. Sreesanth and Harbhajan Singh has resurfaced in a dramatic fashion, with Sreesanth openly challenging his former teammate to settle their differences inside a boxing ring.

In a recent conversation with The Lallantop, Sreesanth didn’t hold back, directly questioning Harbhajan Singh’s willingness to face him in a physical contest.

“If he really has the guts, let him come and face me in the boxing ring,” Sreesanth said, reigniting a feud that has lingered for years in Indian cricket conversations.

The rivalry traces back to the 2008 Indian Premier League season, when Harbhajan Singh slapped Sreesanth after a match between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab — an incident that shocked the cricketing world and became one of IPL’s most controversial moments. Harbhajan was later suspended for the remainder of the season by the BCCI.

Although both players had publicly attempted to move on in the years that followed, the old tensions have recently flared up again. Sreesanth has previously alleged that Harbhajan benefitted financially from an advertisement referencing the infamous “Slapgate” incident, further escalating the disagreement.

He also revealed a personal fallout between the two, stating that their communication has completely broken down.

“I have blocked him everywhere. There is no friendship left,” Sreesanth reportedly said, making it clear that reconciliation seems unlikely at this stage.

The latest “boxing ring challenge” has now added a fresh twist to one of Indian cricket’s most talked-about rivalries. Harbhajan Singh has not yet responded publicly to the challenge, leaving fans debating whether this is just heated talk or the beginning of a potential exhibition showdown.
