Shirsat Fires Fresh Salvo in Ongoing Political Row
Maharashtra minister Sanjay Shirsat has intensified the political battle surrounding the speculation of unrest within Shiv Sena UBT, accusing party leaders of sending conflicting messages regarding their own MPs.
His remarks come as Maharashtra politics remains abuzz with discussions over possible defections and the much-talked-about “Operation Tiger” narrative that has dominated headlines in recent days.
Questions Raised Over UBT’s Stand on MPs
Speaking to reporters, Shirsat claimed that leaders from the Uddhav Thackeray camp appeared uncertain about their own position and were making contradictory statements in public.
“Sanjay Raut and others are confused and making contradictory statements. On one hand, they call MPs their own, and on the other hand, they abuse them and say they have been bought.”
The minister suggested that the statements emerging from the party reflected confusion rather than confidence.
‘This Is Their Internal Matter’
Shirsat maintained that his party was not directly involved in the developments and was only responding because of repeated questions from the media and political observers.
“These are their internal matters, and we have nothing to do with them. We are only responding because we were receiving repeated calls asking for clarification.”
His remarks appeared aimed at distancing the ruling camp from allegations that it was playing a role in the political turmoil facing Shiv Sena UBT.
‘Operation Tiger’ Debate Continues
The minister also addressed the growing discussion around the so-called “Operation Tiger”, a term increasingly linked to speculation about possible shifts in political loyalties.
“Regarding ‘Operation Tiger’ and similar issues, we do not know what they are thinking, but the internal situation between them is clearly unstable.”
The statement is likely to add further fuel to the ongoing political debate as leaders from rival camps continue to trade accusations.
Maharashtra Politics Remains on Edge
The latest comments come at a time when defection rumours, rebel MP speculation and sharp exchanges between leaders have kept Maharashtra’s political landscape on edge.
