Sindhudurg ZP CEO Ravindra Khebudkar Extends Financial Support to Needy Family

Personal intervention helps repair unsafe house; officials directed to facilitate ration card, pension, healthcare and welfare benefits

Sindhudurg Zilla Parishad CEO Ravindra Khebudkar extended financial support to a needy family in Sawantwadi taluka, helping repair its unsafe house and facilitating access to ration, pension and healthcare benefits.

Sindhudurg : Sindhudurg Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Ravindra Khebudkar has extended financial assistance to an economically distressed family in Insuli-Pagawadi village of Sawantwadi taluka, helping repair their unsafe and dilapidated house.

The assistance was provided to the family of Janabai Patil, whose house had deteriorated to the point that its damaged roof posed a serious safety risk.

The matter was brought to Khebudkar’s attention by local Zilla Parishad member Nitin Raut. The CEO subsequently visited the village to assess the family’s living conditions and arranged immediate financial support for the required repair work.

After the initial repairs were completed, Khebudkar revisited the house and reportedly made an additional personal contribution towards the installation of doors, roofing sheets and other essential finishing work.

He also directed the departments concerned to help the family obtain an Antyodaya ration card, government pension benefits and necessary medical treatment.

Officials were instructed to ensure that the family received regular access to medicines and other eligible welfare services without interruption.

The intervention has brought relief to the Patil family and has been appreciated locally as an example of compassionate and people-oriented administration.

Local residents and officials said it was unusual for a senior administrative officer to personally contribute funds to help a needy family. However, the claim that Khebudkar is the first Sindhudurg Zilla Parishad CEO to do so would require independent verification.

Since assuming charge, Khebudkar has focused on improving the functioning of the Education, Health, Social Welfare, and Women and Child Development departments of the Zilla Parishad.

His initiatives have included addressing issues faced by Anganwadi workers and helpers, promoting women’s empowerment through self-help groups, improving healthcare access for senior citizens and facilitating the doorstep delivery of medicines.

The assistance extended to the Patil family has further strengthened his image as a responsive administrator willing to intervene directly in cases of hardship.
