The political crisis within Shiv Sena UBT appears to be deepening amid fresh developments surrounding the reported rebellion by a section of the party’s MPs. According to sources cited by TheNews21, a separate group of MPs has been formed and has reportedly received approval from Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
The development has further fuelled speculation about a possible split within the Uddhav Thackeray-led faction, with political circles closely monitoring the situation.
The latest twist comes days after Shiv Sena UBT leader Sanjay Raut alleged that rebel MPs were offered financial inducements to switch sides. Addressing the media, Raut claimed that each MP had allegedly received Rs 15 crore and travelled on chartered flights from different locations before the rebellion surfaced.
The reported approval of the separate group is expected to intensify the political battle in Maharashtra, where discussions around defections and political realignment have dominated headlines. All eyes are now on the next move of the rebel MPs and the response from the Shiv Sena UBT leadership as the crisis continues to unfold.
