Srinagar: A full team of NGO Awami Welfare Forum on Monday visited various Coaching Institutes in Handwara as snowfall has ushered in the chilly winter season in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The main purpose of their visit was to check the following whether the Coaching Institutes are following the laid down guidelines – (1). Are Heating Arrangements made in the Coaching institutes for the Winter season. (2). Are protocols of COVID-19 being followed strictly and cautiously and (3). Are reservations made for orphans and physically challenged students?
There are more than 50 Coaching institutes in Handwara and today the full team of NGO Awami Welfare Forum visited 15-16 coaching institutes to comply with the above-mentioned requirements.
The General Secretary of AWF Sheikh Jamsheed requested the administration to provide a team at the ground level who would look at the ground level issues and therefore would try to solve them “…
Sheikh further added that ” I’m appealing to the district administration and Handwara administration to seriously pay attention towards the general public that are following the protocols of Covid-19 and other guidelines issued by the WHO, in order to reduce the chances of the third wave of the catastrophic Covid-19 virus.
Sheikh appreciated J&K police with great referential and encouraged their efforts that they took a serious action towards the drug addicts and smugglers which indeed is a great step.
The team of NGO Awami Welfare Forum said “We have been doing such things since for the past many years and all such activities are being conducted in the present also. The vision for such activities will be extended and expanded in the future also.”
