New Delhi: YouTube has removed comedian Samay Raina’s controversial India’s Got Latent episode, which featured YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia and social media influencer Apoorva Makhija, following an order from the Indian government. The episode was reportedly blocked in India after widespread backlash over inappropriate content.

Screenshots shared by social media users confirmed that the video had been taken down, displaying a message that read: “Video unavailable. This content is not available on this country domain due to a legal complaint from the government.”

Senior Advisor to the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Kanchan Gupta, confirmed the action in a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “The episode on @YouTube with obscene and perverse comments by Ranveer Allahbadia has been blocked following Government of India orders.”

The controversy erupted after a segment from the episode went viral. During the show, Ranveer Allahbadia posed an inappropriate question to a contestant, prompting laughter from Apoorva and Samay. The remarks were widely criticized online, with netizens calling out the creators for promoting vulgarity.

Amid the backlash, Ranveer issued a public apology, admitting to a “lapse in judgment” and stating that comedy was not his forte.

Meanwhile, legal trouble is mounting as Guwahati Police filed a case against Ranveer and four others on Monday, while another complaint has been lodged in Mumbai.
