A horrifying incident unfolded at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium, where a mother and her daughter lost their lives when a weighted hoarding toppled onto their car amidst a fierce storm. The driver also sustained injuries during the unfortunate incident.
Authorities swiftly responded to the scene, with the police taking immediate action and employing a JCB machine to remove the fallen hoardings. The injured driver, along with the mother and daughter, was promptly rushed to Lohia Hospital. Unfortunately, upon their arrival, the woman and her daughter were pronounced dead. The driver is currently receiving medical treatment for his injuries.
The victims of this heart-wrenching tragedy have been identified as 38-year-old Preeti Jaggi and her 15-year-old daughter, Kumari Angel. They resided in the Sabzi Mandi area of Indira Nagar, falling under the jurisdiction of Ghazipur police station in Lucknow.
The incident occurred during the evening in a posh area under the jurisdiction of Sushant Golf City police station.
“The two women who sustained injuries after a board installed at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium fell on their car have tragically passed away,” stated DCP South Vineet Jaiswal.
