John Kirby, Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council in the White House, stated during a press conference that India is indeed a vibrant democracy, and anyone visiting New Delhi can witness this firsthand. He further added that the strength and well-being of democratic institutions will undoubtedly be part of the discussions held during the visit.
Kirby also emphasized the importance of expressing concerns when necessary, even among friends. He stated that it is crucial to openly address any concerns the United States might have regarding democratic practices with any country across the world, as this is an integral aspect of maintaining strong and transparent relationships.
