New Delhi: In a notable political development ahead of the Delhi elections, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) has extended its full support to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), providing a significant boost to Arvind Kejriwal’s campaign. This endorsement comes at a crucial time, with the Delhi Assembly elections fast approaching.
Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi and national convenor of AAP, expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards TMC chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for the party’s backing. In a statement, Kejriwal said, “I am personally grateful to Mamata Didi. Thank you, Didi, for always supporting and blessing us in our good and bad times.” The acknowledgment of Mamata Banerjee’s support signals a strengthening of ties between the two parties, which have previously expressed shared goals of challenging the dominance of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Indian politics.
