Delhi: Congress parliamentary party chairperson Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital late last night following mild respiratory distress. Medical examinations revealed that her bronchial asthma had been slightly aggravated due to a combination of cold weather and air pollution.
Doctors at the hospital confirmed that Sonia Gandhi’s condition is currently stable. She is under observation and receiving treatment, including antibiotics and supportive medications, to manage her symptoms.
Dr. Ajay Swaroop, Chairman of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, stated, “Her health is being closely monitored, and she is responding well to treatment. The decision regarding her discharge will be made in the coming days based on her clinical progress.”
Sonia Gandhi’s hospitalization comes at a time of fluctuating winter temperatures and rising pollution levels in Delhi, which can exacerbate respiratory conditions.
