Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ progressed from Shajapur to Ujjain via Maksi on Tuesday, marking another leg of his journey across Madhya Pradesh. Engaging with the public through roadshows and nukkad meetings, Gandhi reiterated that the yatra is not merely a rally but a battle of ideologies.

“Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra is not an election rally. It’s a fight against the ‘hatred’ full ideology of BJP and RSS. Though I agree, we started the fight late,” remarked Gandhi during his interactions with the locals.

Promising transparency if elected to power, Gandhi stated, “If I come to power, I will get the country’s X-ray done. Then everyone will know who owns how much money, their sources.”

Gandhi also criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of prioritizing distractions over addressing the country’s issues. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants the youth to watch reels all day long. On the contrary, I want mobile phones to carry the label of ‘Made in Madhya Pradesh’,” emphasized Gandhi, highlighting his party’s focus on job creation.

In response to Gandhi’s yatra, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav criticized the effort, suggesting Gandhi should focus on addressing party issues instead. “Instead of holding rallies, Rahul Gandhi should use this time to help the problems of the party,” remarked CM Yadav, questioning Gandhi’s absence from the Ayodhya Ram Temple event and urging him to apologize to the public.

The five-day yatra in Madhya Pradesh is set to conclude on Wednesday as it proceeds into Rajasthan via Ratlam.
