Srinagar: A meeting of Patwari Association of Handwara under the chairmanship of district president Manzoor Ahmad and district secretary Javid Ahmad and in the presence of members Mohammed Ayoob Khan and accountant Nissar Ahmad Dar was held on Saturday at Rashwari Naugam Mawer in which elections to the tehsil presidents post were held.
The meeting elicited opinions to the Patwari association Handwara and with their wills elected the Tehsil level president. In which Abdul Majeed Bhat was nominated president for Handwara tehsil, Mohammed Syed Qurashi for Qalamabad, Javid Ahmad Wani for Kralgund, and Abdul Ahad Hajam for Zachaldara tehsil.
After conducting the elections to the president’s post, district president Manzoor Ahmad Lone in his address and said that they along with his newly elected president for various tehsils with strength the association is fighting for the rights of revenue officials. He added that they would take up all their outstanding demands with the authorities for acceptances.
Manzoor Ahmad thanked all and promised that he will work for the welfare of the Patwaris. He assured the Association that he will remain at the forefront while leading the issues pertaining to the welfare of the Patwaris not only in Handwara but at the state level as whole.
