National Testing Agency (NTA) Releases Important Exam Dates for 2024-25 Academic Year

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has unveiled the crucial dates for several major entrance examinations in India for the academic year 2024-25, providing students with a clear roadmap for their academic pursuits.

Here are the key dates announced by the NTA:

  1. Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE-Main) Session 1: The examination for JEE-Main Session 1 is scheduled to take place from January 24, 2024, to February 1, 2024. It will be conducted in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
  2. Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE-Main) Session 2: JEE-Main Session 2 will be conducted from April 1, 2024, to April 15, 2024, also in the CBT mode.
  3. National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET): NEET, conducted in the traditional pen-and-paper/OMR format, will occur on May 5, 2024.
  4. Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for UG and PG: CUET will be administered separately for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) candidates. CUET UG is scheduled to be held from May 15 to May 31, 2024, while CUET PG will take place between March 11 and March 28, 2024, both in the CBT mode. Please note that registration dates for the undergraduate entrance exams have yet to be announced.
  5. University Grants Commission – National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET): UGC-NET, crucial for candidates aiming to qualify for assistant professorship and junior research fellowships, is slated for June 10 to June 21, 2024.

Importantly, UGC Chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar has assured that results for CUET PG, UG, and UGC-NET will be swiftly processed and announced within three weeks following the conclusion of the respective tests. This prompt result declaration is anticipated to provide candidates with timely feedback for their academic and career aspirations.
