Some MNS workers on Monday vandalised a toll booth in Kasheli on Thane-Bhiwandi road to protest against the poor condition of the stretch, police said.
Two people from the group were detained and taken to Bhiwandi police station, an official said.
Local Maharashtra Navnirman Sena leaders later said they had warned the government several times about the hardship people were facing while commuting on the stretch.
