Police confirmed that around 10 to 12 others were injured in the crash and were shifted to a hospital in Emmiganur for treatment.

Pilgrims Among the Victims

Preliminary findings indicate that the victims were pilgrims from Karnataka’s Chikkamagaluru region. They were returning home after visiting the Mantralayam temple when the accident occurred. Authorities are still investigating the exact cause of the collision, including possible overspeeding or driver error.
