Indian Army organises various functions across the Kashmir valley to celebrate Republic Day

Srinagar: To commemorate the 73rd Republic Day and instil patriotic fervour amongst students, youth and local population, the Indian Army held Speech and Patriotic Song Singing competitions, Tiranga rallies and events to mark the occasion.

With the aim to increase awareness and inculcate feelings of National Pride amongst children on the eve of Republic Day, Speech Competition and Patriotic Song Singing Competition was organised by Army Camp, Haril (Langate) at Government Higher Secondary School, Haril on Tuesday.

A total of 20 students including five girls attended the event. Two School Principals along with four Teachers and two Sarpanches were present for the event.

The event commenced with the opening speech by the Principal of Government Higher Secondary School, Haril; which was followed by Speech Competition and Patriotic Song Singing Competition. The talent displayed by the children was extraordinary and which surprised all the attendees.

The event concluded with prize distribution to the winners who gave outstanding performance. The event provided a platform to express feelings of patriotism.

Tiranga Rally held at Kigam

A first of its kind, exclusive Tiranga rally was organised at Kandi, to engage the youth in instilling a sense of patriotism amongst the residents of the area. The 18 Km rally started from Saduganga and terminated at Chak Kigam.

The rally touched Awantiwara, Malkapatti, Tanga stand, Tarats and Kandi Khas. An overwhelming strength of around 120 people including small children turned up with high spirits and morale to participate in the event. 

The rally was flagged off by Manzoor Ahmed, sarpanch Kandi B, who later gave an inspiring speech to the locals about patriotism and instil a sense of belongingness in the residents of the area. 

Indian army has been consciously focussing towards need based initiatives to empower youth in Kashmir and will continue to engage the youth by providing requisite platforms to enable them achieve their goals.

Republic Day rally organised by Youth Club at Mankal

With the aim to celebrate 73rd Republic Day, the Youth Club, Mankal (Langate) organised a Patriotic Rally in the Mankal village on Tuesday. The event witnessed cheerful and active participation by the children of the village.

A total of 63 children participated in the event. The event was successfully conducted by Mankal Youth Club and its members. The efforts of the Youth Club were highly appreciated.
