Indian Army organised medical and veterinary camp in collaboration with District Hospital Handwara at Manbal

Srinagar: A medical camp was organised by Indian Army Camp, Langate at Manbal village with the aim to provide quality medical care and free medicines to the poor and needy people. The Indian Army organised a medical camp with an aim to outreach the far-flung villages and provided them with medical aid. 

A team of eight Doctors including one Army Doctor and seven civilian doctors from District Hospital Handwara, and Srinagar (Physician, General Surgeon, Gynaecologist, Pharmacist and Veterinarian) offered consultation and treatment for various ailments wherein a total of 304 persons (172 men, 132 women) benefited. The event was covered by local media.

Besides this event, a veterinary camp was also organised at the same location to provide medical support to the animals that form the livelihood of the locals. A total of 21 animals and their handlers were benefited in the outreach program. The local citizens of the area expressed their gratitude and appreciated this initiative of the Indian Army.
