The glitterati of Bollywood graced the lavish three-day pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani, son of Reliance chairman Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar last weekend. However, one familiar face was notably absent from the star-studded affair – celebrity filmmaker Karan Johar.
According to reports from India Today, Johar’s absence from the Jamnagar celebration was attributed to his sudden illness. Initially invited to the event with plans to perform on stage alongside longtime partner Manish Malhotra, Johar had to cancel his appearance due to a viral fever and sore throat.
Despite his setback, Johar sent his best wishes to the couple via Instagram, congratulating them on their union. He shared a heartfelt message alongside a video featuring Radhika and Anant, expressing his regret at missing the festivities but celebrating the love and tradition displayed by the Ambani family.
