Nora Fatehi Faces ₹3 Crore Defamation Suit Over ‘Toy Plane’ Remarks

Actor-singer Nora Fatehi is facing a ₹3 crore civil defamation suit filed by Dunes Aviation, which has approached a court in Gandhinagar over comments she allegedly made about one of its chartered aircraft. The suit was filed earlier this year and stems from a Mumbai-to-Jaipur flight in December 2025 aboard a Cessna Citation CJ2 operated by Dunes Aviation. According to the company, Fatehi recorded videos inside the aircraft and later posted them on Instagram, describing the plane as a “miniature”, a “toy” and a “Lego airplane”.

Dunes Aviation has alleged that the remarks were “reckless, irresponsible, and made without any technical knowledge, verification or factual basis”. The company claims the posts caused reputational damage, loss of goodwill and an adverse commercial impact. These are allegations made by Dunes Aviation in its civil suit and have not been established by the court. The company has also pointed to Fatehi’s large Instagram following, arguing that the scale of her audience amplified the alleged damage. It claims bookings fell by around 15–20 per cent after the posts, along with an increase in cancellations.

Dunes Aviation has defended the aircraft involved, saying the Cessna Citation CJ2 was appropriately sized for the Mumbai–Jaipur route, fully certified and airworthy under Directorate General of Civil Aviation norms, and operated legally under a valid Non-Scheduled Operator’s Permit. Apart from ₹3 crore in damages, the company has sought removal of the allegedly defamatory posts and related content, as well as a public clarification from Fatehi. According to court records cited in reports, summons were issued in April. The matter is now listed before the Gandhinagar court on September 25. As of publication, Nora Fatehi or her representatives do not appear to have issued a public response to the suit.
