Banglore: A deadly road accident in Andhra Pradesh’s Nandyal district left three people dead after a private passenger bus and a container truck went up in flames in the early hours of Thursday. The incident occurred near a village in Shirivella mandal, sending shockwaves through the region.

According to preliminary information, the private bus was travelling from Nellore to Hyderabad with several passengers on board when it suddenly lost control during the journey. In the chaos that followed, the bus crossed over to the opposite side of the road and slammed into an oncoming container lorry. The impact triggered a massive fire, engulfing both vehicles within minutes.

Emergency services said the bus was carrying dozens of passengers at the time of the accident. Although the flames spread rapidly, most passengers managed to escape before the fire intensified. Some sustained minor injuries and were treated at nearby hospitals.

Tragically, the drivers of both vehicles and an assistant on the container truck were unable to escape and died at the scene after being trapped in the burning wreckage. Visuals of towering flames lighting up the highway later circulated on social media, highlighting the intensity of the blaze.

Eyewitnesses and first responders said there was a brief period of panic as passengers struggled to exit the bus. Initial reports suggest that some doors failed to open immediately, leaving people trapped inside for a short time before they managed to break free with help from locals.

Police officials confirmed that teams rushed to the spot soon after receiving information about the crash. Traffic on the route was temporarily disrupted as fire services worked to douse the flames and clear the debris.
