Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor rents his Worli apartment for Rs 20 lakh per month

Mumbai: In one of a major real-estate transaction, Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Kapoor have rented out their high-end luxury apartment in Worli area for a whopping rent of Rs 20.00 lakh per month.

According to Square Yards, the apartment is located in the plush project ‘Thirty Six West’ developed by Oberoi Realty and spans across 5,395 square feet area with three dedicated car parking spaces.

The rental agreement registered on November 7 is for the tenure of 5 years where the Kapoor’s have received the amount of Rs 1.23 crore as an initial deposit amount. The monthly rent for this high-end apartment starts at Rs 20.5 lakh and will gradually increase to Rs 23.98 lakh by the end of the five-year lease term. Additionally, the agreement includes a rent-free period for the first 10 months, Square Yards said.

The Kapoor’s had initially purchased the apartment for Rs 58.60 crore in May 2024.

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has joined the league of celebrities who have recently rented out their luxury properties in Mumbai. Other celebrities who have rented out their properties in recent period include actors Kartik Aaryan, Ranveer Singh, and producer Sajid Nadiadwala.

Thirty Six West, spread across 1.58-acre plot is a prestigious luxury residential project with two towers and includes 4 BHK and 5 BHK units. The project also comprises duplex apartments and penthouses.

Karan Bhagat, founder and CEO of 360 One, earlier known as IIFL Wealth & Asset Management, has purchased two units for over Rs 170 crore. The promoters of Kiran Gems bought a 16,000 sq. ft apartment for Rs 97.4 crore.
