Delhi: In a dramatic claim ahead of the Delhi elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal alleged that Chief Minister Atishi might soon be arrested in a “fake case” orchestrated by political rivals. The statement, made on X (formerly Twitter), has stirred political controversy, with Kejriwal accusing adversaries of targeting AAP’s welfare initiatives.
Kejriwal suggested that the Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana, recently announced by the Delhi government, have unnerved certain groups. “Some people have been rattled by the Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana. They have planned to arrest Atishi in the next few days in a fabricated case. Before that, raids will be conducted on senior AAP leaders,” Kejriwal tweeted.
The Mahila Samman Yojana aims to provide financial support to women, while the Sanjeevani Yojana focuses on healthcare reforms. Both schemes are seen as major steps toward bolstering AAP’s voter base, particularly among women and marginalized communities.
