In a recent interview with Galatta India, Vandana Lokhande, the mother of Bigg Boss 17 contestant Ankita Lokhande, delved into her daughter’s relationship with her ex-boyfriend, the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The candid conversation shed light on Ankita’s genuine affection for Sushant and her continued connection with his family.

Vandana Lokhande shared insights into the enduring bond between Ankita and Sushant, emphasizing the depth of their relationship during the seven years they lived together. She spoke about Ankita’s ongoing communication with Sushant’s family, highlighting the strong attachment they share.

Addressing the question of Ankita’s attachment to Sushant’s family, Vandana affirmed, “Bilkul hai. Rani didi usko phone karti hai. Papa se baat hoti hai, phir aur kya chahiye. Woh rishte banati hai na, toh woh chodhti nahi hai. Woh rishte ke liye lad padti hai… woh dil mein kuch grudge nahi rakhti kabhi kisi ke liye” (Absolutely, Sushant’s sister and father speak to Ankita over the phone. Once Ankita forms a bond with someone, she never lets it go. She never holds grudges against anyone).

In response to queries about Ankita mentioning Sushant on Bigg Boss 17, Vandana defended her daughter’s actions, stating that Ankita only spoke positively about him. She clarified, “Ankita ne khud aage aa ke kabhi nahi bola hai (about Sushant Singh Rajput)…Ek baar Abhishek ne sawaal uthaya, ‘Kaise the woh?’ Toh phir Ankita ne bola ki ‘Woh bahut dimag ka tha, bohut intelligent tha’. Aur hamesha acha bola hai” (Ankita never mentioned Sushant’s name on her own…She has always said good things about Sushant).

Vandana also shared Ankita’s perspective on discussing Sushant, “Main kabhi gussa hoti thi as a mother, Ankita mujhe bolti this, ‘Mumma mat bolo, uski life uske paas'” (I would get angry as a mother, but Ankita would tell me, ‘Mom, don’t say anything; his life is his own’).

The interview provides a glimpse into Ankita Lokhande’s respectful approach to her past and her continued connections, emphasizing her maturity and the enduring bonds she has maintained over the years.
