I-PAC’s Initiative ‘Sabki Rasoi’ completes first phase; delivers a massive 16.5 lakh meals across the country

The first phase of ‘Sabki Rasoi’ – an I-PAC’s initiative which started with the aim of feeding freshly cooked food to the lowest rungs of society amidst the Corona Pandemic, came to an end on Wednesday.

The ‘Sabki Rasoi’ initiative was started on 5 April, across 17 cities in the country with the collaboration of 38 kitchens and 54 grassroots feeding partners Initially.

Within the first 4 days of start, this initiative had reached its first milestone of feeding 5 lakh meals to the people across the country. In the view of the growing demand of food to the people, the operations of this virtual kitchen was extended to 33 cities, working with 40 kitchen partners and 131 grassroots feeding partners, resulting in reaching the second milestone – 10 lakh meals in the short span of next 3 days.

During this time of exigency, ‘Sabki Rasoi’ had been successful in providing around 16.5 lakh meals to the migrant labourers, daily-wage earners, homeless in 33 cities across 19 states of the country in the past 11 days.

Overall, ‘Sabki Rasoi’ worked with 78 kitchen partners, 185 feeding partners and 2 delivery partners (Swiggy and Zomato) across the country.

Around 2.3 lakh meals were provided in Delhi (NCR) with the help of 5 Kitchen partners and 20 grassroots feeding partners. ‘Sabki Rasoi’ was also operational in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Patna, Hyderabad and 26 other cities in the country.
