Mumbai: Mumbai was left stunned on Friday night as news broke of actress and dancer Shefali Jariwala’s sudden demise at the age of 42 following a cardiac arrest.
According to hospital sources, Shefali was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri by her husband Parag Tyagi and close friends late on Friday. Despite emergency efforts, doctors declared her brought dead on arrival. The hospital later confirmed the news to the media.
Her body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem examination, with official reports awaited.
Shefali’s unexpected death has left a deep void in the entertainment world, with colleagues, fans, and admirers expressing their shock and condolences.
Shefali rose to instant fame with the chart-topping pop song “Kaanta Laga” in the early 2000s, cementing herself as a youth icon with her bold dance moves and stylish persona. She later took part in reality shows like Nach Baliye 5, Nach Baliye 7, and Bigg Boss 13, where she continued to capture public affection.
Apart from music videos, Shefali appeared in films such as Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and Hudugaru, expanding her reach in both Bollywood and regional cinema.
