Srinagar: District Development Council (DDC) chairman Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Panditpuri expressed their deepest sympathy and concern towards the victims of heavy rainfall and hailstorm. He demanded compensation for the hailstorm affected areas of Kupwara
He expressed their deep concern over the damage caused to the crops and fruits in Mawer, Qaziabad due to heavy rain and hailstorm that occurred on Thursday afternoon. He appealed to the concerned department to take stock of the situation on ground and provide succour to the farmers immediately.
Third, a heavy hail storm damaged the Apple crop in Mawer and upper areas of Qaziabad. “In this grief and sorrow my sympathies with the fruit growers. I appeal to the concerned department to provide compensation to the affected farmers. I also urge LG Manoj Sinha to consider a special package and also demand for waiving of KCC loans”, said Irfan Sultan Panditpuri.
