Gorakhpur: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and popular actor Ravi Kishan Shukla has alleged that he received a death threat over a phone call from a man claiming to be Ajay Kumar Yadav from Jwania village in Bihar’s Ara district. The threat, which reportedly included abusive language and caste-based remarks, was made to Ravi Kishan’s private secretary, Shivam Dwivedi, on Friday (October 31).

Officials said the caller threatened to shoot Ravi Kishan, accusing him of making comments against the Yadav community. Following the call, security agencies were informed, and an investigation has been initiated to trace the caller’s location and verify his identity.

Reacting to the incident, Ravi Kishan condemned the threat, calling it an assault on his personal dignity, religious beliefs, and India’s cultural values. “During the call, offensive remarks were made about my mother and Lord Shri Ram. These attempts to spread hatred and anarchy will be met with a firm response rooted in democratic values and ideological strength,” he said.

The Gorakhpur MP, known for his outspoken views and nationalist stance, asserted that he neither fears nor will submit to such intimidation. “My commitment to public service, nationalism, and dharma is not political opportunism but a lifelong vow,” he added. “This path is not easy, but it gives purpose to my existence. For me, this struggle symbolizes the defense of dignity, faith, and duty, and I will remain unwavering and devoted to it till the end.”
