New Delhi: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Manoj Jha has strongly objected to US President Donald Trump’s recent offer to mediate between India and Pakistan over the Kashmir issue, demanding that the Union Government convene a special session of Parliament to send a clear and firm message to Washington.

Calling Kashmir India’s “historic heritage,” Jha accused President Trump of overstepping diplomatic boundaries with his unsolicited remarks. “A special session should be called and the American President must be given a message. Who told you to bring up the Kashmir issue? We have our own agreements… it is our historic heritage,” the RJD MP said.

Taking a dig at Trump’s penchant for asserting dominance on global issues, Jha remarked, “Just because you like ‘chaudhrahat’, you become a self-proclaimed one… a special session should be called and the whole world must get the message.”

The uproar comes after President Trump, in a post on his Truth Social handle on Sunday, claimed that the United States had played a role in de-escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. He praised both countries for showing “wisdom and fortitude” in avoiding potential nuclear conflict.

“I am very proud of the strong and unwaveringly powerful leadership of India and Pakistan for having the strength, wisdom, and fortitude to fully know and understand that it was time to stop the current aggression that could have led to the death and destruction of so many, and so much. Millions of good and innocent people could have died! Your legacy is greatly enhanced by your brave actions,” Trump posted.
