The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has thrown its support behind Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) aspirants protesting alleged question paper leaks and irregularities in recruitment examinations.
CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke met protesting candidates at his residence in the Waluj area of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and announced that his party would stand with them in their campaign.
The party has also set September 24 as a deadline for its demand that the MPSC chairman and secretary resign.
CJP Gives September 24 Deadline
According to a statement issued by the CJP, the party wants the MPSC chairman and secretary to step down over concerns raised by candidates about the examination and recruitment process.
The party said its agitation would continue until the two officials resign.
Dipke said that if the officials do not step down by September 24, he and other CJP members will begin a statewide tour.
During the proposed tour, they plan to meet MPSC aspirants in different parts of Maharashtra and understand their concerns.
Abhijeet Dipke Says CJP Will Stand With Aspirants
After meeting the protesting candidates, Dipke released a video message in which he announced the party’s support for the students.
“The CJP and I are with MPSC aspirants in this fight. We will stand with the aspirants till the resignations,” Dipke said.
The statement makes clear that the CJP intends to remain involved in the agitation until its demand for the resignation of the commission’s top officials is addressed.
CJP Members to Join Protests Across Maharashtra
The party has also said that Dipke and other CJP members will participate in protests being organised by MPSC aspirants at different locations across Maharashtra.
The CJP’s involvement could give the ongoing agitation a wider political and public platform, particularly if the resignation demand remains unresolved after the September 24 deadline.

MPSC candidates have been protesting over allegations of paper leaks and irregularities in examinations conducted by the commission.

The issue has also attracted the attention of the Maharashtra government, with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis previously promising changes to the recruitment system and an SIT probe into allegations linked to the examination process.
The CJP’s September 24 deadline now adds another political dimension to the continuing MPSC controversy.
If the resignation demand is not accepted, the party has said it will expand its campaign by travelling across Maharashtra and directly reaching out to MPSC aspirants.
