Srinagar: Demonstrating a strong commitment to nurturing leadership, cultural awareness, and civic responsibility among young people, the 7 Jammu & Kashmir Battalion NCC, Kupwara successfully conducted a Youth Network Programme at Army Goodwill School (AGS), Wayne.
The event, organised under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) SS Misquith, Administrative Officer of the battalion, was marked by active participation from NCC cadets, local youth, and students. Attendees engaged in an inspiring lecture and interactive session designed to motivate and empower the next generation of leaders.
The programme was honoured by the presence of National Conference youth leader Shahrukh Nasir Khan who attended as the Chief Guest. In his keynote address, Khan commended the initiative, applauding both NCC and AGS Wayne for their efforts in guiding youth towards constructive engagement and national development.
“The youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow; they are the strength of today. Programmes like this equip them with the tools, vision, and courage to bring about meaningful change,” Khan remarked.
The event centred on the theme ‘Vikas for Viksit Bharat 2047’, highlighting the importance of culture, heritage, and roots. It forms part of the NCC’s wider objective to unite communities and empower young individuals, especially in border areas.
Lt Col SS Misquith underscored the vital role the NCC plays in cultivating disciplined, responsible citizens and extended heartfelt appreciation to local authorities and the school administration for their support in making the programme a success.
The Youth Network Programme at AGS Wayne stands as a significant milestone in regional efforts to promote peace, unity, and proactive youth engagement.
