In a grand ceremony in Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of the idol of Ram Lalla, marking a historic event attended by thousands, including saints, artists, Bollywood celebrities, members of the business fraternity, and politicians. The sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Mandir now houses the idol of Ram Lalla, a creation of renowned sculptor Arun Yogiraj from Mysuru.

Crafted with meticulous detail, the divine ornaments adorning Ram Lalla have been created by Shri Ankur Anand’s institution, Harsahaimal Shiamlal Jewellers in Lucknow. The exquisite ornaments, capturing the vision of spirituality and tradition, have been described as a manifestation of the divine in the earthly realm by the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Trust.

The creation of these divine ornaments is grounded in extensive research and study, drawing inspiration from scriptural descriptions of Shri Ram’s splendor in texts such as the Adhyatma Ramayana, Valmiki Ramayana, Ramcharitmanas, and Alavandar Stotra.

Crafted under the conceptual guidance of Shri Yatindra Mishra, the ornaments have been meticulously designed by Shri Ankur Anand’s institution in Lucknow. The attire of Shri Ram Lalla, adorned in Banarasi fabric, features a yellow dhoti and a red pataka/angavastram. The angavastrams are embellished with pure gold zari and threads, featuring auspicious Vaishnav symbols like Shankh, Padma, Chakra, and Mayur.

Delhi’s textile designer, Shri Manish Tripathi, played a crucial role in creating the garments, working from Ayodhya Dham to ensure authenticity. The divine attire is a testament to the rich cultural heritage and traditions embedded in the spiritual fabric of Ayodhya.

Here’s a glimpse of the divine adornments:

  1. Necklaces: The third and longest necklace, made of gold and rubies, symbolizes victory and showcases auspicious Vaishnav symbols.
  2. Waistband: A gem-studded waistband made of gold, adorned with diamonds, rubies, pearls, and emeralds.
  3. Armlets and Bangles: Studded with gold and precious stones, enhancing the divine charm.
  4. Rings: Adorned with gems and featuring dangling pearls, adding to the divine elegance.
  5. Anklets and Toe Rings: Gem-studded with diamonds and rubies, complemented by golden ankle bells.
  6. Bow and Arrow: Bhagwan’s left hand holds a gold bow adorned with pearls, rubies, and emeralds, while the right hand carries a golden arrow.
  7. Garland: Around Bhagwan’s neck, a garland featuring colorful floral patterns, crafted by a dedicated handicraft institution.
  8. Forehead Tilak: An auspicious tilak created with diamonds and rubies, adorning Bhagwan’s forehead.
  9. Lotus and Gold Garland: Bhagwan’s feet are adorned with a decorated lotus, under which a gold garland is arranged.
  10. Traditional Toys: As Bhagwan is revered in the form of a five-year-old child (Shri Ram Lalla), traditional silver toys are placed before him, including a rattle, elephant, horse, camel, toy cart, and a spinning top.

The radiant halo above Bhagwan is crowned with a resplendent golden umbrella, symbolizing divine protection and grace. The ceremony marks a significant milestone in the cultural and spiritual legacy of Ayodhya, inviting devotees to witness the divine splendor of Ram Lalla in the newly consecrated temple.
