Through art workshops in Handwara, Indian Army paints picture of hope for local students

Art workshop held at Army Goodwill School Budkot Handwara and Motivational talk cum future planning delivered at Government Degree College Handwara

Srinagar: Rouble Nagi Art Foundation and 21 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) jointly conducted an art workshop at Army Goodwill School (AGS) at Budkot in Handwara in which several local students participated and showcased their talent.

In continuation with the goodwill initiatives being carried out by Indian Army in the valley, an Art Workshop was organised at Army Goodwill School, Budkot by 21 Rashtriya Rifles (Guards) in collaboration with Rouble Nagi Art Foundation.

The workshop was steered by Rouble Nagi, a well-known artist and alumni of Slade School of Fine Arts, London (UK), to provide an opportunity to children to learn creative art from experts and ignite a positive passion towards art in their hearts and minds. The workshop was attended by 175 children of Army Goodwill School at Budkot in Handwara.

Subsequently, Rouble Nagi delivered a motivational talk and informed participants on future planning at the degree college, Handwara. Rouble Nagi talked about the need to provide exposure and guidance to youths to identify the right path and goal towards a progressive future. 

The interactive session was attended by students of Degree College as well as students of nearby areas. The interaction drew in a lot of enthusiastic participation and questions from the participants. By organising such Art Workshops the Indian Army hopes to bring about a positive change in the outlook of the students towards life and future career.
