Bungus Valley Sports Organisation Hosts Night Volleyball Tournament at Baki Aker

Kupwara: The Bungus Valley Sports Organisation on Monday organised a night volleyball tournament at Baki Aker in Handwara, with the inaugural match played between Rajwar Volleyball Club and Hari Volleyball Club.

The tournament began at around 9 pm and witnessed a large gathering of local residents, sports enthusiasts and young people. The initiative aims to promote sports and provide local youth with a positive and constructive platform to showcase their talent.

Several prominent guests attended the inaugural event, including the SDPO Handwara, Superintendent of Associate Hospital GMC Handwara, Executive Engineer, R&B Handwara, Town Commander Handwara, former DDC Mawar, former DDC Handwara and officials from the Sports Council.

Speaking on the occasion, local residents and young people appreciated the Bungus Valley Sports Organisation for organising the tournament. They said such sporting events provide youth with meaningful opportunities to remain engaged in healthy activities and help keep them away from drugs and other harmful or anti-social activities.

The organisers said the tournament is being conducted in the spirit of teamwork, discipline, mutual respect and healthy competition. They expressed hope that the event would encourage more young people to participate in sports and contribute to building a healthier and more active community.

The Bungus Valley Sports Organisation reiterated its commitment to promoting sports and creating greater opportunities for young people in the area to develop their talent through organised sporting activities.
