Three police officers, two from Nashik taluka police station and one from Satpur police station have been suspended as they were caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while accepting bribe, a report said on Tuesday.
According to police sources, Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector of the Nashik taluka police station asked for bribe in lieu of granting permission to use sound system for a music concert at the Sula wines.
Inspector Nanasheb Nagdare demanded bribe Rs 25,000 while Assistant Sub-Inspector Subhash Deore sought Rs 9,000 bribe, report further said.
On December 5, the ACB sleuths laid a trap and arrested both the accused cops, Nagdare and Deore, while accepting bribe from the complainant, report apprised.
Senior Inspector from Vilas Jadhav attached with the Satpur police station was nabbed by the ACB while taking a bribe of Rs 50,000 in lieu of releasing a seized vehicle.-UNI news
