Kolkata: West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose has commented on the FIR filed by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee against the Enforcement Directorate (ED), emphasizing that the law applies to everyone. Speaking to the media, Bose said, “The law is always above you. You will see that the law is enforced in any manner that is required. Now that it is before the High Court, let us wait for the judgment, then I will give my comment.”

The Governor’s remarks come amid heightened political tension in the state following the ED’s investigations. He urged patience as the matter proceeds in the judicial system and refrained from making further political statements until the High Court delivers its verdict.

Bose also addressed recent threats directed at him, including a menacing email stating “Will Blast Him.” Recalling a past incident where a bomb was allegedly thrown near him while he was on duty, he downplayed the threats, noting that it could either be an accidental or deliberate act. “Maybe it is an ignorant action done by some people. Maybe it is deliberate. That is up to the investigating authorities to investigate and establish the truth. I am not bothered about these threats at all,” he said.
