South Indian superstar and TVK chief, Thalapathy Vijay, faced a minor scare at Chennai airport on Sunday as he struggled to navigate through a massive crowd of fans while heading to his car. Videos circulating online show the 51-year-old actor momentarily losing balance before quickly recovering.
Vijay had just returned from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he attended the much-anticipated audio launch of his upcoming film, Jana Nayagan. The event saw the presence of the film’s lead actress Pooja Hegde, as well as notable industry figures including Lokesh Kanagaraj, Atlee, Nelson Dilipkumar, Nasser, and Srinath. Fans who missed the live event will be able to watch the audio launch on Zee 5 Tamil starting January 9, 2026.
Jana Nayagan is one of Vijay’s most awaited projects and is being widely discussed as his final film before his entry into politics. Directed by H Vinoth, the Tamil-language movie is set to release on January 9, 2026, coinciding with the Pongal festival. The music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who has previously worked on blockbuster films including Rajinikanth’s Coolie. Jana Nayagan is also expected to clash at the box office with Prabhas’s horror-comedy The Raja Saab, making January a major month for South Indian cinema.
