Lucknow: In a move aimed at strengthening its outreach among women voters, the Samajwadi Party’s district women’s wing in Uttar Pradesh’s Amethi has put up posters at Ambedkar Tiraha, announcing a major welfare promise ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.
According to the posters, the Samajwadi Party has pledged to provide ₹40,000 in annual financial assistance to women if the party forms the government in Uttar Pradesh in 2027. The announcement has sparked political discussion in the region, with the promise being seen as part of the party’s early campaign strategy.
