Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has undertaken significant security upgrades to his Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai’s Bandra, following an alarming shooting incident outside his residence earlier this year. The actor’s security measures have been reinforced with bulletproof glass on his balcony, alongside a modernized security system featuring high-resolution CCTV cameras to monitor any suspicious activity around his property.
The renovations come approximately eight months after a dangerous drive-by shooting on April 14, when two men on a bike fired four shots at the actor’s residence before fleeing. Salman Khan has publicly stated his belief that the attack was orchestrated by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently incarcerated. Khan speculates that the motive behind the attack was an attempt on his and his family’s lives.
In addition to the bulletproof glass on his balcony—an area where Khan often greets his fans—the actor’s home now boasts enhanced surveillance technology to prevent any future threats. Salman Khan resides in a 1 BHK flat on the ground floor of the Galaxy Apartments, while his parents live on the first floor, as per reports.
The conflict between Salman Khan and Lawrence Bishnoi has been ongoing for years, originating from the 1998 Blackbuck poaching case. The Bishnoi community holds Blackbucks as sacred animals, and Lawrence Bishnoi has repeatedly vowed to target Salman Khan due to his involvement in the case. The incident on April 14 marked a worrying escalation of these threats, highlighting the dangerous nature of the animosity between the two.
