Rouble Nagi Art Foundation conducted awareness drive and sanitary napkin distribution at Langate

Srinagar: The Rouble Nagi Art Foundation (RNAF) conducted a “Sanitary Napkin Distribution and Awareness Drive” on Monday at Langate, in Kashmir valley. Artist Rouble Nagi who is the founder of the “Rouble Nagi Art Foundation” and “Misaal India” initiative was present at the Sanitary Napkin Distribution Drive.

Rouble Nagi who is a social worker and artist said that the main motive behind the initiative is educating and empowering our rural women. “Misaal Kashmir” was launched in December, 2020 from Pattan and Handwara. She said that they have conducted several camps related to women empowerment and employment workshops.

Rouble Nagi said that their main aim is to make women self-reliant. Empowering Kashmiri women, creation of job opportunities for youth and awareness about health and menstrual hygiene for women is of utmost importance, she said. “Our aim is to provide quality education and improve employment for youth at our skill centres,” she said.

The RNAF is a not-for-profit organization set up with the vision to make sure that all children get an education that helps them become caring, responsible, and productive citizens.

As a concrete step towards realizing this vision, RNAF has various programs that aim at providing quality education for underprivileged children in slums and villages by introducing low cost and sustainable educational models throughout India. “Misaal India” is an initiative by social activist Rouble Nagi. It started in 2018, after Paint Dharavi in 2016”.

“The main aim is to connect to people through Art, bring a positive change in their mind-set. Educating through art about the importance of children’s education, empowering women and youth by making them financially independent,” Nagi added.
