Kupwara: Quality Health Care Hospital Kupwara, in collaboration with the District Administration on Wednesday organised a Nasha Mukt Abhiyan–cum–free medical camp at the CHC Zachaldara.
Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, graced the event as the chief guest. ADC Handwara, Tehsildar Zachaldara, and several other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
A team of specialist doctors, including a Gynaecologist, Paediatrician, Surgeon, General Physician, and Eye Specialist, examined nearly 200 patients during the camp. All consultations were offered free of cost, and medicines were also distributed without charge by Quality Health Care Hospital Bramari Kupwara.
Speaking at the event, DC Kupwara lauded the efforts of Dr. Majeed Wani, Director of Quality Health Care Hospital Bramari Kupwara, for organising the initiative and extending healthcare services to remote areas.
Dr. Majeed Wani said the programme was specifically designed for residents of far-flung regions. “We will continue to organise such medical outreach camps in remote areas like Machil, Tanghdar, Keran, Budnamal, Nowgam, Rajwar, and several other parts of Kupwara district,” he added.
