Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Maharashtra on October 8 and 9 for a series of major infrastructure inaugurations and high-level engagements. During the visit, PM Modi will inaugurate Phase 1 of the Navi Mumbai International Airport, a landmark project constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 19,650 crores.
In addition, the Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation the final phase of Mumbai Metro Line 3, completing the entire corridor built at a total investment of over Rs 37,270 crores. This modern metro line is expected to transform urban mobility across Mumbai, providing seamless connectivity and easing traffic congestion.
A major highlight of the visit will be the launch of “Mumbai One”, India’s first integrated common mobility app that brings together 11 public transport operators on a single digital platform. The app aims to streamline ticketing, real-time tracking, and commuter convenience, marking a significant step toward smart urban transportation.
On the diplomatic front, PM Modi will meet UK Prime Minister Rishi Starmer to review the India–UK Strategic Partnership and discuss the Vision 2035 Roadmap, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation across trade, technology, defense, and cultural exchange.
The Prime Minister is also scheduled to deliver the keynote address at the Global Fintech Fest 2025, highlighting India’s role as a global fintech hub and the opportunities for innovation and investment in the digital economy.
