Visakhapatnam: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday, inaugurated projects worth over ₹2 lakh crore, focusing on infrastructure development, green energy, and regional progress in North Andhra Pradesh. This was PM Modi’s first visit to the state since the formation of the TDP-led NDA government.
Accompanied by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for several ambitious initiatives. Among them was NTPC Green Energy Limited’s green hydrogen hub in Pudimadka, Anakapalle district, a ₹1.85 lakh crore project under the National Green Hydrogen Mission. The hub aims to produce 1,500 tonnes of green hydrogen daily using 20 GW of renewable energy, along with 7,500 tonnes of products like methanol, urea, and sustainable aviation fuel, contributing significantly to India’s green energy goals.
