New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday emphasized the importance of strong leadership in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, stating that institutions like the School of Ultimate Leadership (SOUL) will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of leaders.
Speaking at the inaugural edition of the SOUL Conclave at Bharat Mandapam, PM Modi underscored the need for world-class leadership across all sectors to sustain India’s growth momentum. He asserted that SOUL-like institutions could transform leadership development in the country, equipping young individuals with the skills required to tackle global challenges.
Asserting that India is on its way to becoming a global powerhouse, he stressed the need for dynamic leaders in governance, policy-making, and entrepreneurship. He highlighted that Swami Vivekananda once called for 100 dedicated young individuals to transform India, and today, the country requires the same passion and vision to move forward.
“India needs exceptional leaders in every field, not just politics. SOUL will nurture leadership for the 21st century, producing individuals who could become top political figures, policymakers, and innovators,” he said.
PM Modi emphasized the necessity of making governance and policy-making globally competitive, adding that policymakers, bureaucrats, and entrepreneurs must align their strategies with international standards to drive India’s progress.
SOUL, a leadership institute based in Gujarat, was established to train individuals with merit, commitment, and passion for public service, moving beyond traditional political lineage. The conclave, which concludes on Saturday, aims to promote thought leadership, collaboration, and learning from past successes and failures to inspire future generations.
By fostering an environment of innovation and strategic thinking, SOUL is set to become a catalyst for India’s leadership evolution, ensuring that the nation is well-equipped to navigate the global landscape and fulfill the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
