New Delhi: Delhi Cabinet Minister Parvesh Verma has launched a scathing attack on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, asserting that all alleged scams under his leadership will be thoroughly investigated. Verma, taking a strong stance, stated, “Kejriwal’s corruption will be exposed, and I don’t think he will be able to come out of Tihar Jail in this birth.” His remarks come amid the tabling of CAG reports in the Delhi Assembly against the previous AAP government.

Speaking at a public gathering, Verma emphasized that while Delhi is not a full-fledged state, it remains crucial for governance. He criticized the former government for making false promises, stating, “They claimed they would make Delhi like London, but all they did was open liquor stores outside schools, temples, and even inside Sheesh Mahal. They built luxurious offices, but no one was allowed to enter.”

In a sharp personal attack, Verma accused Kejriwal of “using his own parents for political gain,” alleging that the former CM made his father sit in a wheelchair “despite being able to walk, just to garner votes.” He further claimed that Kejriwal divided Delhi along caste lines before the elections and cited a widow’s testimony, blaming the AAP government’s liquor policy for the deaths of her sons.

Addressing concerns over renaming places, Verma clarified that while it is not the only priority, it is essential for preserving cultural heritage. He also vowed that every single scam under Kejriwal’s tenure will be investigated, adding that if any Bangladeshi was issued a ration card during AAP’s rule, strict action will be taken.
