New Delhi: In a significant move, the Pakistan government’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle has been withheld in India, hours after New Delhi imposed a series of diplomatic sanctions against Islamabad. The sanctions were a direct response to Pakistan’s alleged involvement in the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 28 people on April 22.
The message on the official X handle reads, “Account Withheld @GovtofPakistan has been withheld in IN in response to a legal demand.”
Earlier on Wednesday night, India announced a five-point diplomatic sanction against Pakistan, holding the country responsible for the deadly attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. This decision reflects the heightened tensions between the two neighboring nations following the tragic attack that shook the region.
