MLA Ramgarh Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal Visits Flood-Affected Areas, Reviews Damage and Relief Measures

Ramgarh: MLA Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal from Ramgarh and Former Minister for Health and Medical Education, J&K, conducted an extensive tour of flood-affected villages and government institutions across his constituency. The visit covered CHC Ramgarh, PHC Sanoora, Government Schools, and villages including Rajpura, Swankha, Ramgarh, Bainglar, Mandal, and adjoining areas.

During the tour, Dr. Manyal inspected the extensive damage caused by the recent floods in Basanter Nallah and Devika River, which have deposited large amounts of sand across agricultural lands in Bainglar, Kamore, and surrounding villages. Farmers expressed grave concern over the repeated destruction of their crops and cultivable land due to recurring floods, a problem that has persisted for years in Ramgarh and Rajpura blocks.

Interacting with residents, Dr. Manyal assured them of every possible relief measure and directed the concerned officers to take immediate steps for cleaning, restoration, and rehabilitation in the affected areas. He further stressed the need for long-term flood management and preventive strategies to safeguard the interests of the farming community.

Dr. Manyal also held meetings with key officials, including XEN PWD, Tehsildar Ramgarh, Tehsildar Rajpura, AEE R&B, BDO Ramgarh, and BDO Rajpura. He instructed them to coordinate relief operations and expedite repair works in flood-hit areas.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Manyal reiterated his commitment to addressing both immediate public grievances and long-pending developmental challenges of the Ramgarh Constituency. He underlined that sustainable infrastructure, effective flood control mechanisms, and dedicated farmer support programs are essential for ensuring long-term welfare and resilience of the region’s people.
