Silicon Valley: Meta has fired 20 employees for leaking internal information, as the tech giant cracks down on policy violations amid growing scrutiny over Mark Zuckerberg’s shifting stance on Donald Trump.
A Meta spokesperson confirmed the dismissals, stating, “We remind employees that leaking internal information, regardless of intent, is against company policy.” The company also hinted at more terminations as its internal investigation progresses.
The latest round of firings comes after leaks revealed Zuckerberg’s frustrations over internal discussions being exposed. “We try to be really open, and then everything I say leaks. It sucks,” he reportedly told employees.
