MBMC Demolishes Unauthorised Mosque And Temple Structures In Bhayandar; Operation Completed Peacefully

Civic Body Removes Unauthorised Structures During Early-Morning Operation

The Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC) carried out an early-morning anti-encroachment operation in Bhayandar East on Monday, removing allegedly unauthorised structures associated with both a mosque and a temple.

The drive began before sunrise in the Gold Nest Circle area, where civic officials, supported by a large police deployment, undertook the demolition exercise following administrative directives.

Communities Extend Cooperation To Ensure Peaceful Operation

Officials said the operation remained calm throughout as representatives from both communities cooperated with the administration.

Prior to the action, discussions were held between civic authorities and local stakeholders. Following these talks, arrangements were made to remove important items and religious belongings from the affected sites before demolition work commenced.

Authorities credited this cooperation for helping maintain harmony and preventing any law-and-order issues.

Heavy Security Deployed As Precautionary Measure

Considering the sensitive nature of the operation, police personnel were stationed across the locality and security measures were strengthened in surrounding areas.

Barricades were installed and movement was regulated to ensure public safety. Despite initial concerns about possible tension, officials reported that the situation remained fully under control throughout the exercise.

Equal Action Against Unauthorised Constructions

According to civic officials, the action formed part of an ongoing campaign against unauthorised constructions in the city.

Authorities stated that enforcement measures were carried out without discrimination and that action was taken against structures found to be in violation of regulations, regardless of whether they were religious or non-religious in nature.

The removal of both the mosque-related and temple-related structures was cited as an example of uniform implementation of civic rules.

No Untoward Incidents Reported

Officials confirmed that the operation concluded without any incidents of violence, injuries or damage to public property.

The presence of civic teams, police officers and local representatives helped ensure a smooth process, with authorities emphasising that maintaining communal harmony remained a top priority throughout the drive.

Anti-Encroachment Campaign To Continue

The civic administration reiterated that efforts to remove unauthorised constructions across the Mira-Bhayandar region will continue in the coming months.
